Overview
Vail Cascade
Resort & Spa is one of Vail's top ski-in/ski-out
luxury resorts. Having just completed a multi-million dollar resort
makeover, Vail Cascade Resort & Spa is even more elegant but in
a simple, understated way. Ranked
in 2004 by Condé Nast Traveler magazine as one of the world's
top 700 resorts, Vail Cascade Resort & Spa delivers all the amenities
you've come to expect in a luxury hotel - impeccable service,
incomparable amenities, and personal attention to every detail. Vail Cascade Resort & Spa is ideally situated along Gore
Creek at the foot of Vail Mountain, with Chair 20 right outside the
door -
providing
easy access to year-round outdoor activities that Vail and the Colorado
Rocky Mountains have to offer.
Trails wend under the canopy of trees—which towers with emerald ponderosas and golden aspens—before the path delivers travelers to the doorstep of Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. Even when guests retire to the hotel after a day of adventures, hints of the surrounding beauty permeate the property: Natural light pours into the cozy lounges and restaurants to illuminate exposed wooden beams, and decks with fire pits peer out to the scenery. Year-round outdoor activities and a warm, modern atmosphere draw vacationers to this recently renovated lodge, which was recognized as one of Travel + Leisure's top 500 hotels in the world in 2011. When vacationers settle into Standard and Superior rooms, plush pillows sprawl across each down king or queen bed. Cotton robes, high-speed Internet, and a 42-inch flat-screen television elevate the comforts of hibernation, and upholstered leather chairs welcome guests to relax and imagine their faces as ice sculptures. The main lodge hosts both Standard and Superior rooms; the former oversees the courtyard, and the latter peers out to the Vail mountainside.
Vail Cascade Resort Spa - Spavelous
And
with 5, 289 acres, Vail is the largest single ski mountain in North America,
featuring seven powdery bowls, backcountry skiing of Blue Sky
Basin and the front side. 1, 500 acres of corduroy means the most
groomed terrain on the planet. Featuring 193 trails (the longest
of which is 4 miles) and a vertical rise of 3, 450 fee, you don't
have to look for sweet spots here – they find you. Vail
also has the largest network of express quad chairlifts in the world
with 34 total lifts, 14 high speed quads and one gondola, and if that's
not enough it also boasts the world's premier ski and snowboard schools
with more than 800 instructors and a multitude of programs for
all
abilities. Boasting a yearly average of 346 inches of snowfall, which in the mostly-dry
climate of the Rockies means powder, Vail will forever change your idea
of a good time. Dining
The Vail Cascade Resort & Spa features an award-winning
restaurant (Chap's Grill & Chophouse), and something unique
- a General Store that will deliver groceries to you in your room,
suite, or condo - a nice addition to eating in their restaurant or
ordering from their 24-hour in-room dining menu.
Travelers may also tote their tackle boxes to the nearby Vail Nature Center for fly-fishing tutorials, guided hikes, and photography classes in 7 acres of meadows. Dwarf evergreens, crocuses, and waterfalls lend to the meditative vibe at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, which retains its status as one of the highest-altitude botanical gardens in the world. After a day of alpine adventures, sylvan sojourners can stop at the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum to learn about the evolution of icy sports. On Wednesdays and Sundays, historic Vail Village walking tours branch out from the museum and wind throughout its notable thoroughfares. Other Details

Tiffany 5 ratings 2 reviews I had a very enjoyable stay. I only wish it was longer. We really enjoyed our stay and the room was nice and spacious. Our room was huge. A bit dated, but great views!! The restaurant was pretty good. The location was great proximity to Lionshead. We didn't walk but the drive and parking were easy. Shuttle was nice. Loved the ski out option -- ski in was not open. Valet was beyond friendly and helpful. Concierge -- not so much. The fitness facility and spa were wonderful! I loved both. Wonderful locker room facilities! Covered parking was included and exceeded my expectations. We loved Lionshead Village -- especially the children's ski school, shops, and eating establishments. For another reasonable rate, I would definitely go back.
